    Our Story

Why I started Settled In by Tina.

Tina Leger wrapping and packing kitchen items during a senior move

Not long ago, I found myself helping my cousin transition into an assisted living community. She has Down syndrome and had begun experiencing the onset of dementia, so I became responsible for managing every aspect of the move from beginning to end. What I expected to be a challenging process quickly became an eye-opening experience.

While I anticipated the work involved in researching and selecting the right facility, I was surprised by the lack of resources available to truly help families through the entire move process. There were moving companies and placement agencies, but very little support for the countless details and emotional challenges that come with such a major life transition.

But one thing stood out more than anything else: after the move itself was complete, there was no one there to help truly settle her into her new home. Boxes remained stacked, belongings were unpacked slowly over time, and the comforting feeling of "home" was missing during one of the most emotional transitions of her life.

As I unpacked her belongings and worked to make her new apartment feel warm, personal, and familiar, I realized there was a real need for this kind of service. Families needed someone who could bridge the gap between moving out and truly moving in, someone who understood both the practical and emotional side of the move.

That experience inspired the creation of Settled In by Tina. My goal is simple: to make a new place feel like home from the very beginning. We feel like we are making a difference in someone's life.

"We feel like we are making a difference in someone's life."

    Our Philosophy

    Three things we believe.

    Service, applied to moving day.

We anticipate. We notice the small things, the lamp on the right side of the bed, the coffee mug on the second shelf, because those are the things that make a new place feel familiar.

The parent is the client. The family is the team.

We work for your loved one. We work with you. We never override their voice and we never let the family slide into argument while we are in the room.

    You reach Tina directly.

When you call or text, it's Tina who answers, not a call center, not an automated system. She and her hand-picked team bring the same personal, hands-on care to every family they serve.

    Meet Jackson Leger

    Head Senior Move Manager.

    Jackson Leger · Central Florida

Hi, I'm Jackson Leger, Head Senior Move Manager at Settled In by Tina.

I was born and raised in Central Florida, where I've built strong connections with the community I now have the privilege of serving. I graduated from Bishop Moore High School and attended the University of Central Florida before beginning my professional career.

Before joining Settled In by Tina, I worked alongside my father in his organic fertilizer business, where I served as Warehouse Manager. That experience taught me the importance of organization, logistics, leadership, and attention to detail, skills that continue to benefit me every day in the moving industry.

For the past four years, I've worked alongside my mom, Tina, helping families navigate one of life's biggest transitions. As Head Senior Move Manager, I've had the opportunity to lead hundreds of moves, working closely with seniors and their families to make each move as smooth, organized, and stress-free as possible.

What I enjoy most about this work is getting to know our clients and helping ease what can often feel like an overwhelming process. Every move is unique, and I take pride in treating each client with patience, respect, and genuine care. Seeing someone feel comfortable and at home in their new space is the most rewarding part of what I do.
